We went to a teeny tiny local parade. Audrey started a little cheerleading class and they had her group walk in the parade. It was actually super fun because it was only fifteen minutes long and the kids got a full bag of candy. That's the way I like them. Short and efficient.
Audrey walked in the parade with her good friend Scarlett. They threw candy to the crowd.
They had a few overpriced festivities after the parade that the girls enjoyed.

We have loved having the swimming pool. It was not something that we ever considered having in a home. It really just kind of happened and when we first bought the house it really stressed me out. I wasn't sure about how much it would cost or what the upkeep would be like. To be honest, it hasn't been too bad. The fun far outweighs the hassle.
We had a family reunion with my extended family on my mom's side at Lagoon. It was such a fun day. I always head to Lagoon thinking the kids won't last and we will just stay until eight and we always end up staying until it closes. My kids just love every minute of it and Grace did so well just sleeping in her stroller.
Audrey and I broke away and went on the swings together.
The only ride Lily wasn't terrified of was the carousel. We had a near meltdown on the whales and she refused just about everything else. Hopefully next year she will be a little bit more brave and try some new things. Thankfully, the carousel gave her enough fun to make the day worth it.
Carli was in California so we had cute Jimmer with us. He is far braver than Lily and went on all the rides he could.
We got to hang out with my favorite childhood friend and cousin Becky and her adorable little girl Claire. Claire, believe it or not, was also more brave than Lily. Lily really looks like she's embracing things here in this crazy ride though.
James was very possessive of the bell that you ring on this ride. Lily tried to give it a go and there was a bit of a scuffle that may or may not have involved some hair and shirt pulling. We yelled from the sidelines though and they worked the sharing out.
I didn't even get a picture of Julia because she was off running on every big ride she could get her little body on. She is so incredibly brave when it comes to scary rides. Audrey really got brave this year too and went on all the scary rides. I am always so proud of my kids when I see them overcome their fears and try something.
