Lily's birthday came on a Sunday. We have church at 9:00AM and I must admit getting four heads of hair fixed and getting out the door is more than a challenge. This particular Sunday was no different. The only thing that was different was halfway through Sacrament Meeting we realized today was Lily's birthday! I had prepared for it but the fact it was that actual day, well we just realized a little late. Good thing she didn't know any different. That being said, we sure do adore this Lily. The whole family. The girls are so excited when she wakes up from her nap they all come in with me to greet her. She brings a great deal of happiness and laughter into our home and we love her.
She got a castle and some Little People princesses. I'm not sure who was more excited about it, her or her sisters. Lily loves LOVES loves Dora. It is the only show she will watch and she begs to watch it every day. I love listening to her while she watches because she participates throughout the entire show. She also knows the entire theme song. You can imagine what a success this Dora microphone was.
She also got a princess carriage and some other toys. It was a day full of playing that's for sure.
She had pie and ice cream to celebrate. She isn't really a huge cake fan but is a very big fan of ice cream. We made sure she got a lot of it.
Lily at two years:
She loves macaroni and cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. That's what she usually has for lunch.
She loves soda pop. This is not something I'm proud of but if she sees a pop she is begging and begging for it.
Lily enjoys singing and her favorite are the ABC song, "Jesus Said Love Everyone" and "On a Golden Springtime."
She has a great love affair with her blanket and binky. I mean LOVE affair. I have night terrors about taking that binky away.
She is incredibly sensitive. She will burst into tears if she thinks Bryan or I are made at her, but especially Bryan. If he even looks at her sternly she's devastated.
Lily is so tenderhearted. Just this evening Audrey was crying over some injury and Lily went and found her blanket for her. She's pretty sure binkys and blankets can cure everything.
She loves her sisters and plays puppies with them constantly. She is the dog owner and her sisters are the puppies.
She loves babies and will play with her baby doll all morning. Our favorite is when she comes to us and says, "SHHHHHHHHH. Quiet. Baby sleeping."
She loves purple. It is the only color she recognizes though she tries with the other colors.
She loves books and will actually sit through a few of them being read all the way through.
She loves going to the child watch at the YMCA and had recruited a table full of boys to play babies with her.
She is obsessed with toothbrushes and toothpaste. It drives me crazy. We have blue toothpaste goops on her clothing very frequently.
She loves dressing up.
Oh we love this sweet Lily and can't believe she is two years old!
