So it was eight years ago that this kid and I decided to tie the knot. I know I have posted this picture before but can you believe how young we looked!? Mere kids I tell ya. I still had baby fat on my face for crying out loud.
Here we are wiser, older and let's just say it, a little bit fatter. The years have been good to us. I feel so fortunate to be so happy in my marriage. I think after eight years you truly can't ask for more than that. Well maybe I could ask for a better picture than this poor-lighted shiny-faced one. I must say the five year old photographer did the best she could. She kept telling me that the lighting was atrocious.
Bryan had to get a BIG steak. No other steak would do. Not only big but covered in butter. I went for the surf and turf. Scallops the size of my fist, mmmmmmmmmm yummy.
This may make me sound like I was raised in Wyoming and have no food credentials whatsoever but I have never had Creme Brullee (if I spelled it wrong, I will not be judged and I'm not looking it up so there you go). My meal came with a dessert and I decided to give it a whirl. It did not disappoint I'll tell you what. They even gave us an additional free dessert and put a candle in it. AND they put rose petals on our table. Talk about romantic.
Happy eight Bryan! Love you and am so glad that I married you.
After the anniversary it was officially Spring Break. I decided that for this Spring Break I was going to see how late we could progressively sleep in each day. We have reached a personal best today. We started out around 8:20AM at the beginning of the week and have now reached 9:05AM. I am so proud of my girls. We set goals and we acheive them.
Now after my confession of laziness for this Spring Break we have done a few things. I only took pictures of the zoo though. I promise we did more than that...
The gorillas were awesome this time. They were hitting the glass and running around. There was even a little tiny baby that was so cute. We spent the majority of our time with them this zoo trip.
Julia had to take a picture of the baby gorilla with his mom. It really was so cute.
And before I forget a few weeks ago we had the chance to go up and visit Bryan's brother, wife and these two adorble kids. Of course I forgot my camera so I had to steal a few photos. Bryan's mom was in town and we had such a great weekend with them. Can you believe the hair on this baby!? I thought my babies had a lot of hair but little Sarah puts them to shame.
We did my girls very favorite things; swimming and a movie. Grandma fortunately knows them very very well.
Three cute cousins.
James, Bryan and Natalie all have March/early April birthdays so we did a big celebration for the three of them with the biggest chocolate cake you have ever seen. This picture does it no justice. Bryan and James were in a chocolate coma after this one. You should have seen the size of their pieces!

You lovebirds. Jansen saw a picture of Julia on your blog and said, "That's Julia! She's my best friend. She looks a little grown up. How old is she? She looks like a 6 year old!"
